What and when are the library's virtual office hours?

The Library's Virtual Office Hours are conducted via the Zoom video conferencing platform. They're a time to drop-in to ask questions about research, e-resources, or troubleshoot problems. A few staff members will be on live each time to help you. Office hours will be offered in the Fall term.

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00 - 1:30 pm

Links to log-on are sent to the VTS Community via email.


Who do I email with any questions?

Drop-in to the virtual office hours, or email paynelib@vts.edu anytime with questions. A library staff member will get back to you promptly. 


I'm having trouble accessing an e-resource, how do I get help?

To troubleshoot an e-resource, email charper@vts.edu. Cindy Harper is our Electronic Services Librarian.

Where can I find more updates about the library and its resources?

  • Brightspace Virtual Library. On the Brightspace learning platform, be sure to add  the Bishop Payne Library to your list of "courses." Library staff update that page with the latest resources and tips.
  • Facebook Page - Bishop Payne Library. Staff regularly update the VTS Community via the BPL Facebook page. "Like" to receive updates.
  • Libguides - The library has an extensive list of how-to guides and subject-specific guides. These "libguides" contain helpful troubleshooting information and introductions to research subject areas. Visit them here.
