Biblical Interpretation Resources

A guide for students and researchers interpreting biblical texts. This guide includes original language resources, exegetical tools, and guidance on scholarly commentary and interpretation.

General Hebrew Grammar

General Grammatical Guides in the library's collection take the form of textbooks. These are normally used by students taking courses in Biblical Hebrew, though advanced researchers will find it useful to consult these resources during translation. The Library has many Hebrew Grammars published by various authors.

Hebrew Syntax

Hebrew Syntax resources guide the reader through sentence structure, word order, and phrases in Hebrew. For original language study, they provide information about most of the grammatical constructions encountered in the Hebrew text. There are two primary syntactical resources in the library, the shorter Williams' Hebrew Syntax, and the comprehensive textbook-style Biblical Hebrew Syntax by Waltke and O'Connor.
