Literary Criticism

Berit Olam (Hebrew Bible) / Sacra Pagina (New Testament)

  • This series focuses on the final form of the texts (canonical criticism), with a special interest in matters relating to literary interpretation. It works extremely well as a complement to series with different critical or disciplinary approaches. Classified Individually by Book of the Bible.

Feminist / Women's Commentaries

These series approach the text through the lens of Feminist theory, or with special regard to women's interpretative postures.


Wisdom Commentary Series

  • This series provides a feminist interpretation of each book of the Bible. Contributing scholars, though sharing a Feminist theological outlook, comprise a range of disciplinary, academic, and geographic contexts. Classified individually by book of the Bible.

Feminist Companion to the Bible

  • Each volume in this series provides an introduction and brief commentary on that book of the bible. Each volume is written by a separate feminist scholar. Classified individually by book of the Bible.

Feminist Companion to the New Testament

  • Same as above, except with a focus on the New Testament. Classified individually by book of the Bible.
